Giveback Homes is doing great things - Message from Giveback Homes founder
In October, the Giordano Group became a member of Giveback Homes. Giveback Homes is a non-profit organization that works with real estate agents across the nation to partner with communities in need to build safe, functional homes. The founder, Blake Andrews, sent the following email recapping the progress of Giveback Homes in 2016, and what's in store for 2017.

Excerpt from email sent January 23, 2017:
The Giveback Homes movement continues to evolve and inspire in so many ways. What we have been able to do is revolutionary and already exceeding what Caroline and I first set out to accomplish. It's all thanks to the real estate agents and companies we have worked with. What started by simply building one home at a time in Nicaragua has yielded much more.
In 2016 alone we:
- Successfully built 13 homes (100 to date) and in new locations like Haiti, El Salvador and Bolivia
- Produced 10 Build Days throughout the United States, including: Atlanta, Houston, Sacramento & San Francisco
- Worked with Union Rescue Mission to help feed and shelter over 1,000 homeless families in the Los Angeles area
As my family expanded with the birth of my first child, our Giveback Homes family also expanded. And with just two Co-founders, one marketing manager, and nearly 1,000 members, we have been able to do so much good....
This year:
- We are focusing on increasing consumer awareness, creating a Member Advocate program, and most importantly, we are going to make it even easier for you all to give. We look forward to sharing some exciting announcements with you soon.

Giveback Homes was launched in 2013 by Blake Andrews and Caroline Pinal with the vision to connect real estate agents with families in need of safe homes. They have partnered with charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, New Story Charity and Union Rescue Mission to manage home building projects for families in need.
Every donation made by a Giveback Homes member goes directly to build homes for families in need. Since their inception, Giveback Homes has helped build more than 70 homes internationally which includes Nicaragua, Haiti, Bolivia and El Salvador, and coordinated 15 build days in the U.S. in partnership with local Habitat for Humanities.
